Hello Curriculum Thinkers,

  • 📝Is anyone interested in collaborating on a document, sharing common misconceptions? I have created an Excel spread sheet with a tab for each topic we teach.

  • ❓How well has your formative assessment and feedback supported your students for the end of year exam season and how do you know?

  • 🧠What interleaving strategies are people using to help students retain all the information needed for the GCSE?

  • ⚖️ Just wondering how you create the balance between theory and practical in KS3 in your Schemes of Work?

  • 🗓What’s the best way to deliver the AQA triple science course in a short space of time over two years?

These are just a sample of the questions members are asking each other inside our new private groups - just for subject leaders.

New groups? For subject leaders? That’s right.

Find your subject group

Why?

Subject/department leadership is one of the hardest, if not THE hardest, jobs in school. Don't do it alone.

Whether it's starting a course from scratch, making sequencing choices or changing the way you assess, you can always do with a bit of help from people who've been there and done it.

To help you to find and learn from great curriculum practice across our community of 200+ Curriculum Thinkers schools we have set up:

  1. A private group for you and your fellow subject leaders

  2. A searchable directory of members’ expertise and offers of support.

Each group gives you space to:

  • ask any questions

  • share resources

  • find a supportive community of people who lead your subject

Our promise to you - groups are:

  • invite-only for those with responsibility of Head of Dept/Subject Leader in schools who have joined the Curriculum Thinkers Community.

  • safe and confidential spaces solely for people in the same role as you: no team members, no line managers.

  • carefully managed by the We Are In Beta team to make sure it stays that way

  • moderated by the group leaders who work in Curriculum Thinkers schools to ensure all discussions are productive, inclusive and positive.

🎉Meet your group leaders

Each group is led by the members themselves.

After all who better to be there to ask and answer questions than those living and breathing the subject leader role?

A huge thank you to the team who have joined us as group leaders so far. A fantastic testament to your outward-facing spirit and keenness to learn from and support others.
