Reflecting on and celebrating your work
Best of luck for the exams. An opportunity celebrate when they are done.
Hello Curriculum Thinkers,
A break in our usual service of sharing practical curriculum and subject development strategies from across the Community to:
wish you all the very best of luck for the exams this summer
let you know what we have planned to celebrate your wonderful work once they are done.
When was the last time you took a step back, reflected on the curriculum in your subject/area and mapped out your next steps? How did it feel? What good came of it?
When was the last time you tapped a colleague on the shoulder, told them how amazing they are and challenged them to take a brave next step? How did that feel? What good came of it?
Why ask these questions?
Curriculum and subject development is never finished. End points need to be improved, delivery needs to be tweaked and training needs to be done.
This week, we have an opportunity to not only celebrate your own curriculum and subject achievements, but also recognise others’ success too.
How?
We’re looking for speakers to…
Join the lineup at Curriculum Thinking Week Conference 2025
Since our first event in 2021, we’ve helped 4000 subject specialists learn about every aspect of subject success via 350 sessions, 1500 resources across 15 subjects.
Now, we’re looking for curriculum and subject specialists to share their work at this year’s conference, so we can help even more learn how other schools achieve success in their subject areas.
You can either submit a session proposal yourself OR you can nominate colleagues doing incredible work that you think others need to hear about.
If you’re interested in sharing your work, click here to get free speaker access to some previous sessions (so you can see what others have shared before).
Why get involved in the Curriculum Thinking Week Conference 2025?
Crystallise your thinking - writing things down helps you think and communicate. Previous speakers have even used their sessions to help train their own teams back in school.
Reflect on your achievements - give yourself the space to see how far you have come and plan what should come next.
Make an even bigger impact - help colleagues beyond your school get even better at their roles so they can deliver the best outcomes possible to their students.
Add to your CV - sharing your expertise gives you concrete examples of your impact. Previous speakers have used their sessions to secure new roles.
Get feedback - we help you get feedback on your work from peers in other schools so you can make it even better.
Make lasting connections - members who’ve shared and watched sessions are now in touch on a regular basis to share the resources and advice you might not be able to get in your own school.
Spread the word about your school and find new team members - speakers have even persuaded attendees to join their teams.
Get a free 12 month individual membership (for you if your school is not already a paying member or discounted membership for a friend in another school if your school is already a member).
What is Curriculum Thinking Week 2025?
It’s our annual online, community driven conference, celebrating how brilliant subject specialists from across the community achieve academic success in their departments every day.
Sessions are short and sharp - 10-15 mins long - and come with a set of resources speakers kindly share alongside their talks.
They are often recordings of sessions colleagues have delivered in their own schools already.

📅 Key dates
By 4th June - tell us you'd like to speak in this short form
By 16th June - share an outline of your session in this form
By 20th June – create and upload your video, supported by your SLT
w/c 30th June – conference goes live! Jump in to meet fellow speakers, discuss sessions and learn from a wealth of ideas and resources on offer.
What topics are we looking for speakers to explore?
We want to hear how you are getting the best outcomes for your students in your subject.
That might be how you improve reading, writing or speaking. It might how you improve aspects of planning, teaching or assessing. It may be how you are supporting specific groups eg SEND or PPM students
The more focused and practical the better. For example, how do you help your students get full marks in an extended exam question? Show us your process, talk us through your resources and discuss your delivery. And don’t just tell us what works, tell us what didn’t and what you’ve learned from it.
Help us curate as much curriculum and subject expertise as possible
There’s not much subject specific CPD out there. So that we can help as many subject specialists meet and learn from others as possible, if would be epic if you could share this post…
